I just completed seven large murals, including the interior design of a golf clubhouse re-purposed into a drug treatment center, also a bus station converted into a large detox center for Enlightened Solutions.
Enlightened Solutions is a foundation dedicated to helping those struggling with addiction. Although the work is physically and emotionally demanding, it is most fulfilling to see the results.
The golf course and club houses were transformed into beautiful treatment centers that are include the natural surroundings and spa-like. The interiors and murals are expansive, a few measuring 100 ft. long. The beautiful inspired paintings create a space that provide a nurturing aesthetic atmosphere for the residents. Art work was designed and staged for housing converted to help addiction treatment residents here in Atlantic City, My hope is that the healthy atmosphere can help affect change for people coming out of this experience a growing problem in this area. Please look at the murals for the transformed walls and buildings at The Hansen Foundation on my website.
The color and design of the building is treated much like a painting cosidering how light moves throughout the building this helps in bridging the outside and inside creating an aesthetic space conducive to recovery, and the healing process and all that work there.I especially appreciating working with the Hansen family and Bob Kumika ,the contractor for all of the projects!

Steve Kuzma Artist Vision Statement
My aspiration as an artist is to connect to positive influences and to share the positive connection, via painting, with the viewer. My background as a New York-trained (Parsons) artist, and within the American contemporary impressionist style, gives me leeway to interpret the world exactly as I see it.
All genres can convey the positive message. In florals, there is joy. In landscapes and seascapes, there is a feeling of openness, or of expansion of consciousness. In sports-related and mystical paintings, there is the dignity and nobility of the human spirit.
My work comes from a place of clarity, simplicity, study, and meditation. Painting becomes an answer to a prayer, or a solution for a creative problem. Maximizing the amount of information and inspiration in the simplest way, with the guidance of meditation, the painting documents my full artistic and spiritual process and leaves grace behind for the viewer to imbibe freely.
