25'x 8'panorama, Adirondack Meadow, lodge road .
This painting was started on location 8 years ago.It is a very long roll of canvas and an ambitious project. I taught at the Lake Placid center for the arts earlier and decided to start a landscape from a most beautiful view of of lodge rd.the mountains actually turn blue,as one can see the Mt Marcy and a panorama of mountains.A few hours into the work the sky became very ominous .and a storm was approaching the field.I had to pack everything into the 96 ford wagon and take cover as branches fell all round me.I was a hotel or a campsite. So I of course went to my special place in the mountain forest and set up my tent as the rain began.Howling winds through the trees kept me up giving way to a beautiful dawn. The painting continued on a number of trips to this location. It further was completed at the Pollock Krasner residency at Byrdcliffe colony.
