When in Maine I used to drive up into Acadia Park and park my 96 Ford station wagon onto the rocks and paint the beautiful sunset of the park late into the evening. I think Pat the work I did and then went back into the station wagon driving down the road of the park into the lower elevation towards Bar Harbor. I would often take hikes into the national parks and then be inspired to paint a series of paintings mostly watercolors with water mixable oils and pastels. I also enjoy skiing and once painted on the mountain itself at Vail overlooking the mountains at sunset. Often times there is some Adventure that follows once in the Adirondack Mountains heavy storms are coming in while I was working on a 15-foot panorama. I had to put all the way art inside the 96 station wagon and drive into the forest to take cover while tree limbs were falling and winds were increasing. After a long night of wind and rain sleeping or not sleeping in a tent I would often wake up to a beautiful morning wear I would regroup my work and start again often this work was redone in the studio and I would finish a series of work that would try to distill the essence of a particular region that I traveled in. In Brigantine I was asked by CEO Don Parker to paint the wind farms. I chose the location off of the old Brigantine Bridge there were many mosquitoes and marshes but after a few hours Foundation of a beautiful painting took three years to complete was finished..
